TCMHS event debut here!
Tokyo College of Music High School (TCMHS) holds many creative events throughout the year.
In particular, many educational events are held for junior high school students, elementary school students, and students preparing for entrance exams, and this free trial event is the perfect introduction to these events.
Overview
There are many different areas of music that can be studied at a music high school.
At TCMHS, in addition to practical skills, students can study a number of fascinating fields, including music theory, which revolves around chord progressions and harmony, solfege, which focuses on listening and sight-singing new music, and music history, which delves into the origins of composers and compositions.
By learning across various fields of music, students can enhance their qualities as creative artists with a broad perspective.
As an introduction to such learning, for those who are interested in learning music in earnest or want to enter a music high school, we will give a class to experience the world of aural music and music dictionaries and explain how to study them in the future.
For those who have never been exposed to aural music and music dictionaries before, our students will be by the side of the participants to assist them in the experience.
At the end of the workshop, participants will have a chance to sing a chorus based on "Yume no Sekai wo" (lyrics by Akiko Furyu, music by Shoji Hashimoto), which is often used in music classes at elementary and junior high schools, and enjoy an ensemble performance with the school students.

Please sanitize your hands when you come to the school. Please note that those with a fever of 37.5°C or higher or with cold symptoms will not be allowed to take the course.
Concert by our students
After the free trial session, a concert by our students, "6 COLORS MUSIC BOX 2024," will be held in the 100th Anniversary Hall in Building A.
Please come after having lunch in the vicinity of the school!
